curse of the crimson throne 2e

Hey question for the minds of the Paizo forums..my group is just about to finish the Fall of Plaguestone and I've been searching for a good adventure to take them next. I hope kingmaker doesnt get a hardcover, I just want another Kingmaker-esque AP based in Taldor and Casmaron. Having the payoff for filling out monthly kingdom building sheets be so far removed from the starting point means that some players suffer burnout before ever getting to see the fruits of their labor. I kinda feel that archetypes are best when used on a player character, since they help a player to hyper-specialize and personalize a single character that'll be on stage in every scene. Curse of the Crimson Throne was the 2nd release in the Pathfinder Adventure Path series way back in March 2008 as a series of 6 paperback adventure books. Maybe you can work the Dead Warrens into your campaign. Oh, them still being Rogues is fine. Although by that point it might be a moot point as it would likely be middle 2020's and we'd probably be in Pathfinder 2E. I doubt that will ever happen. I'm guessing it'll be putting that new vigilante class to use. "). Sorry to be such a spoilsport, but I'd rather keep people from getting their hopes up. Is this a rumor or is it real? It is just far more convenient when running a game to have it one book. My players kept asking and never got what they hoped for. I am a subscriber and I will still pay to get a hardcover edition for all the APs. They expressed interest in a more urban setting. Last I heard was that the 3.5 APs weren't getting a RotRL treatment.

If they did do second edition, I'd be like "Whelp, can't use my old material" since I don't like doing conversions. Whats the real deal? Repeating the same mechanic (hexploration) all the way through even to high levels becomes monotonous and boring. Oooohh, yes.

Either way, I'm super happy with Crimson Throne getting hardcover treatment because it means I'm set for next year in what I want to run :D, Look at Kalindlara, doing the lords work. Pathfinder Adventure, Adventure Path Subscriber, Recent threads in Curse of the Crimson Throne, Converting CotCT to 2E and Starting with Book 2 (Spoilers for CotCT). Bulking out NPCs with archetypes or new classes just because they're new isn't really the way I approach these projects, and in fact, I tend to avoid using much archetypes at ALL in adventures for NPCs.

Not only do they only work for one of 40 some classes, but even then they're only appropriate if that 1 in 40 chance to appear is on theme. However they will be level 5 by the time they finish Plaguestone so I can't really start them off with Edge of Anarchy. I'm going to spoiler my entire reply to Shivok, because I just realized it's not at all about CotCT. It's interesting to hear that about NPCs and archetypes, given that some archetypes seem to be designed exclusively for NPC use. At best, we can expect one of these every five years, and then only for a very limited selection of APs. And I think it's real enough that I've spent the last several months working on it. Seems about the only thing that would change besides stat blocks. To fix some really minor stuff? Avoiding politics and intrigue in an AP that sets up a possible civil war? I hope this is the start of each AP eventually getting a hardcover edition. I'd suggest finding a way to do that. I was wondering if someone out there has converted CotCT to 5e and if they had notes of their conversion they'd be willing to share. So I'm wondering two things: 1) has anyone converted Seven Days to the Grave to 2E? That kind of attention isn't really worth it for the vast majority of NPCs who are only gonna be on stage a relatively short time. Community / Forums / Pathfinder / Pathfinder Adventure Path / Curse of the Crimson Throne / Converting CotCT to 2E and Starting with Book 2 (Spoilers for CotCT) The 3.5 ones are the most likely, and they've already done the two popular ones. Various people at Paizo have said its real. If 10 years from now Paizo is still on the same iteration of the game released in 2009, I will be rather surprised. But learn lessons from the Kingmaker AP: Pathfinder Adventure Path, Companion Subscriber, Pathfinder Adventure, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber; Pathfinder Battles Case Subscriber, Recent threads in Curse of the Crimson Throne, Having a cook give a quest for ingredients for 100 GP is fine at level 1; having a cook give a quest for ingredients for 3000 GP at level 13 is. How's that been going? Book one prefigures an important enemy NPC: Rolth Lamm. Why would they make hardcover update of Kingmaker anyway? I just hope the Queen's Physicians are Vivisectionists. <_< So I'd probably just keep buying old stuff instead of new stuff since its not like they can convert everything to second edition at once.).

My guess is the early 2020s for a new one. As with Runelords, one of my overriding philosophies in the update is to not change what wasn't broken. I was only thinking about Blackjack being a vigilante.

Hey guys, I saw over on reddit an announcement that Curse of the Crimson Throne is getting a hardcover.
